As a Field Support Specialist you will play an important role in installing and maintaining Seeing Machines products in a range of vehicles in diverse and sometimes challenging environments. This technology has been scientifically proven to reduce driver fatigue events by more than 90%.
The Operations group at Seeing Machines collaborates with customers and internal teams to provide a positive experience of our products and services. We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Installation Manager to join our UK team and be part of our continuing success.
About the opportunity
As a Field Support Specialist you will report directly to the Operations Account Manager and be responsible for a range of duties, including:
- Installing products into customer vehicles and equipment
- Training of customers and third party contracted installers in accordance with the SM training processes and procedures
- Configuration and field testing of products
- After sales technical support including fault finding, warranty and maintenance support
- Contributing to and providing quality assurance of SM hardware products
You will work closely with the Operations Account Manager EMEA, the 24/7 Support Centre team and our customers, to provide excellent customer service and installations. Working from your home, you will need to set up and maintain a test bench, and be available to travel across the UK and beyond at short notice.
You are a natural problem solver who loves to tinker and to test new ways of doing things. You are comfortable dealing with different customers and in different work environments, all whilst providing the highest level of customer service. This role will see you draw on your electrical trade or auto electrical qualifications to showcase the full extent of your automotive technology ability. You'll also need a valid driver's license, passport and high-level computer skills.
You will have excellent attention to detail and the proven ability to carefully analyse situations. Your practical understanding of network technology, prior vehicle installation experience and your ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience will be highly regarded. You'll also be comfortable working in a geographically dispersed team environment, with colleagues located in different locations in the UK and the rest of the world.
